In March of 1988, what later became known as Aviation Engineering Consultants, Inc. (AECI) was formed in Florida to provide various services in engineering, manufacturing, quality, and management skill training.  Since that time, AECI has expanded to include over 40 employees and occupies a three building campus on a 20 acre site in the heart of Pinellas County, Florida.  We design, manufacture, assemble, and test our components and assemblies within this facility in order to maintain control over the complete production process.

A PMA (Parts Manufacturer Approval) is an FAA design and production approval for aircraft parts. The FAA reviews the proposed design of the part to verify that it meets their safety regulation requirements and is functionally equivalent to the Original Equipment Manufacturers component which it is designed to replace. The AECI Quality Management System is also reviewed to ensure that each manufactured part continues to meet the FAA-approved design. Once approved by the FAA, the PMA holder is permitted to manufacture and supply aircraft parts to OEM's, repair stations and operators.
